Endless Tunnel —
This story is about Jay trapped in an endless tunnel after encountering tragedy by losing his dear friend. His fear of losing someone again makes him eager to escape the tunnel and save someone’s life.
In the middle of the night, the moon was at its full. Glowing like it has never been. The sky was so clear. I was watching this from my window. Looking at the sky made me unable to sleep. Suddenly thought about the person in that dark, quiet, desolate place and felt goosebumps.
Who can be that person? … Jay murmured.
Without having another thought, went to the personal library. It has been a month since I entered and touched any of the things. Slowly moving around the room noticing the things, touching the books placed in the sequence with his fingertip.
At that moment, He began to think of that person.
Who are You? — Jay said.
Jay suddenly felt a shiver go over his body, A snap flashed in his eyes, and found himself in a dark place.
Plink, Plink… heard water dripping, too dark that couldn’t see anything.
Jay’s feet freeze, can’t move things for so long. He could not figure out where he was.
What? … Not again…(Heavily exhaled in confusion).
Where am I? … What is happening?… (Asking himself).
He moved forward with heavy feet scuffing with the ground, thump thump-he could hear his heart pounding in the darkness. As he moved felt a heavy pressure on his body. (Water droplet sound echoed)
What is this Place? (voice echoed).
Hye… Hye… You???
What are you doing here?…
Why are you here? … Jay heard someone saying to him.
Turned around to see and Suddenly opened his eyes and found himself lying on the floor of the library, with a book in his hand.
He slouched on the floor, put a book on his face, and covered his ears with his hands- as to stop hearing the sound that he heard before in the dark.
Not again… said Jay with slightly open eyes.
He stayed there as his soul left him. He felt a burden on his body, turned over
Maybe I was just meant to be alone. Why don’t you stay there? You can’t even have that person… Jay whispered. (low-spiritedly)
